South Korea in France

I'm glad to see that South Korean films are getting some attention at the Cannes Film Festival. A lot of interesting and exciting directors are suddenly come out of South Korea. Is something in the water over there? Or are they now just getting distribution deals so the rest of us can discover them? New York Times' Manohla Dargis highlights a number of S.K. flicks and specifically singles out Bong Joon-ho's "The Host" as "the best film I've seen to date at this year's festival." Here's Dargis's and other reporters' Cannes journal. (Image via soompi.com)
